Screencap Paradise
In the beginning of 2004 an idea was born!
Rosely and Line, two Buffy the vampire Slayer fans and aspiring fanartists, had both recently aquired much longed for dvd's of their beloved show.
At the time, we were both unhappy about the screencaps available online of the early seasons of this show. They were either bad quality or non existant. We decided that we'd put an end to the misery. Surely we weren't the only ones in need of better caps?
We decided to make screencaps of those two seasons ourselves and almost instantly we started thinking up names for a collective site.
"Screencap Paradise" stood out from the moment it was brought up, and we decided to buy the domain.
We started out easy with only the first and part of the second season of Buffy. Because Nikki had Angel on her site, we didn't want to touch that.
Soon we understood the issue of space, when our server was out of discspace and we had to wait untill we could step over to a new server.
With Helder Hosting, we found a reliable host that was willing to host a huge and still growing site. Screencap Paradise immediately grew with the additions of BtvS Seasons 7 and 3. Before we could step over to Helder Hosting, Nikki had joined us and helped us out by hosting season 7 till the new server was ready. When we got the new space, Nikki joined SP and added all her Angel caps to the collection.
SP remained growing with the additions of The O.C., Tru Calling and other series.
It turned out in February 2006 that SP was too big for the host to handle on a shared server. At that moment we were around 40GB and causing a huge load as there were often around 1000-1500 visitors a day. The server crashed and for a moment we feared that everything was lost.
Luckily the images were saved and we started to save for our new cause: Our own server.
Thanks to our dedicated visitors we were able in may 2006 to go online with our dedicated server!
Now we're still growing! What once started out to be for only Buffy seasons 1 & 2, now contains all Buffy, Angel, Charmed, Smallville, Veronica Mars, Tru Calling, The O.C. and will expand with movies, other series and who knows what else?!

Line, grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark. She found her passion for fanart in 2003, browsing the fanart section at BuffyWorld Forums.
In december 2003 she bought her first domain and site Taste of Honey.
A year later, late 2004, she bought a new domain, Escaping Madness where she's now hosting her fanart site Shattered.
In 2006, she moved to Australia and is now living in Sydney.
Rosely was born 28 years ago in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She's working as a journalist and photographer and has been working with photoshop for a few years. She has discovered the world of fanart in september 2003. It was then she started making fanart and realized she wasn't that good with Photoshop at all...
Many tutorials and tips later she started her own site, Lost in Innocence to host her fanart.
